ISS Mine Safety is seeking an experienced qualified millwright/hydraulic technician. The duties will include:
> Disassembly, repair, and testing of all standard hydraulic/pneumatic components.
> Inspection and repair of specialized jacks for mining equipment.
> Precision measuring requirements for service equipment in question - failure reporting.
> Experience working with common hand tools - power equipment (power units/test benches) and testing equipment.
> Field installation of hydraulic systems, tubing, etc.
> Some out-of-town travel required.
Journeyman Certification (An apprentice will be considered)
> Hardworking, self-motivated individual with experience in the fluid power industry including a fundamental understanding of the repair and testing of all types of hydraulic components.
> Hydraulic cylinder repair or related experience is required.
> Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
> Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
> Excellent communication (oral and written) and good interpersonal skills.
> Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
> Forklift Operations certificate preferred.
> Physically able to perform the assigned tasks and duties of the position, including manual labour, weight handling, and use of power tools and heavy equipment for long periods of time in various weather and environmental conditions.
